Wandgas Cricket Club

Wandgas CC can be traced back to 1932 and cricket has been played on the Grafton Road ground since 1938.The club members purchased the freehold of the site from British Gas Properties in 1998 and is proud to operate as an independent local community club for both Cricket and Football.

After several successful years in the Surrey Cricket League Wandgas CC entered the Fullers Brewery Surrey County League in 2002. In 2001 a youth cricket section was formed and in 2011 Clubmark accreditation was secured.

Wandgas CC welcomes all to play and watch cricket in Worcester Park.

Our Teams

Wandgas Cricket Club play Saturday League Cricket in the Fullers Brewery Surrey County Cricket League and run 1st & 2nd XIs.

Our 1st XI is currently competing in the Premier Division of the league as well as competing in the Surrey Slam T20 competition.

Alongside this, there is regular Sunday cricket run at the club for players of all ages and abilities.

Wandgas CC offers great facilities with an all weather 2 bay net enclosure as well as the benefit of the fully stocked clubhouse bar and 4 changing rooms.

The grounds are tended by professional groundsmen and our state of the art rolling covers ensure cricket is played as often as possible.

Alongside the adult cricket, Wandgas also offers the following programs:

  • All Stars Cricket – 45 minute sessions supported by the ECB for 5-8 year olds.
  • Youth Cricket – Training sessions with qualified coaches for ages 9+.
  • Cricket For All – Coaching sessions run for cricketers with disabilities or special educational needs.
